Last Thursday was another snow day and a friend of mine, stuck in her dorm, was craving some crepes. She inspired me to make myself some, so I got up from my cozy bed and grabbed my ingredients.

crepe ingredients

What you will need:

1 1/2 cup of flour

2 1/2 cups of milk

2 large eggs

1/2 tbsp of sugar

1/2 tbsp of salt

1/2 cup of butter ( 2 tbsp per crepe)

Directions: Mix flour, eggs, milk together in a large mixing bowl.  Add the sugar and the salt then mix again. Make sure the batter contains no lumps. Slowly heat the skillet on medium heat, melt the butter and pour a ladleful of the mixture. Tilt the skillet around so your batter can take the form of a round crepe.when the middle of the batter in the skillet becomes a little transparent or bubbles like pancakes, its safe to flip it. you can do that by using your hands or you can use a spatula to help you flip it.

Filling:

SAVORY: Ham, Cheese, Garlic ( i loooooove Garlic).

SWEET: Butter, choice of fruit ( i choose berries), sugar, Pango ( Haitian rhum).

I have a video showing the whole process:

Its my first video, Im really excited about this so bear with me. A side note: the recipe says 2 1/2 cups of milk, i poured 2 cups of milk and poured the other half after, which i did not show in the video.

Let this video inspire you and try to make some crepes. I encourage you to share your filing recipes with us!  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
