Ricotta cheese pasta with scallops

Is there a cheaper meal than pasta? It’s not only about being the cheapest meal, It’s also one of the easiest and less time consuming  dishes to make. Every college student should always stock up on pasta when they shop. However, even though it is the easiest, if you do not know how to cook pasta properly, it could be the hardest to cook. Before sharing my pictorial, I want to share a method about how I make my pasta.

Ingredients:

1 box of Barilla spaghetti

1/2 teaspoon of salt

A pot full of water

Directions:

Bring water and salt to boil. Oil is often used in the making of pasta because it prevents the spices you have in the water to stick on the pasta. So you can choose not to use oil if you do not have any spices in your recipe. Add the pasta to the boiled water and stir once to prevent the noodles from sticking together. Depending on the size of the pasta, it usually takes 9 to 12 minutes for it to cook through but check your package for proper cooking time. Before draining it, make sure you test it. When its soft, its ready. Drain the pasta, but save at least a cup of the cooking liquid and you are ready to go!

For the sauce, heat up some olive oil on medium heat and follow my instructions in the video below
